Teen Programming
The YMCA can help youth find positive opportunities in life that lead to happiness and success. Every day, the YMCA of Dallas sees teens that are excited about learning leadership skills and participating in projects that benefit themselves and their communities. We are committed to programs in collaboration with local school districts and campuses. To meet these needs, the YMCA offers several leadership programs including:
YMCA Youth & Government / Jr. Youth & Government
Building Our Future Citizens . . .
YMCA Youth & Government is a citizenship program for high school students based on the functions of state government with local conferences in Dallas and a state conference at the state capital in Austin. Students participate as "model" legislators, trial attorneys, government planners, officeholders and members of the media.

CPR/First Aid Training
According to the American Heart Association, close to 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur in the home and are witnessed by family members who often do not know CPR. More than five million people each year receive CPR training from instructors taught by the American Heart Association. The timely application of CPR has helped save thousands of lives each year in the United States. Better understanding of CPR and refinements in its use can save more lives.
Save a life. Learn CPR.
